Living and Dining Room Re-Style
Do you love the look of a gallery wall but are at a loss as to how to pull one off in your house? Do you have 539 home decorating ideas pinned that fit your style to a T but don’t know how to translate into your own real world space? Do you have artwork and other décor that you love but just can’t figure out how to display it cohesively or in a stylish manner?
This completely described me and then Kim came and worked her magic! I have a very clear vision of what I like/dislike in terms of home decorating style, which is great, but I am absolutely clueless how to implement any of it into my own home. I simply do not have the eye for how to group things together to create the vision of what I identify my style to be. In addition to that, I had so many pieces from when we travelled/lived abroad or special items that friends/family had gifted us that brought me such joy but I didn’t know how to display any of it so much of it had been sadly packed away in boxes for years.
We bought our first house when we first moved back and I had long stretches of wall space that I just didn’t know what to do with so for years it was, to be frank, sparsely and poorly decorated. While we had a happy house, it was not a home that reflected my style at all until Kim came into the picture. She completely redecorated my entire living and dining room spaces but the best part was that she accomplished this all while using pieces that I already owned! To me that was huge because I didn’t have a big budget to recreate my space. She regrouped items I’d already had displayed/hung but then also dug into all those boxes of items I loved and she was able to envision them displayed in a way that I never could have.
The result is that I LOVE my new space! I had a house before but now I have a HOME! One that reflects my style completely and one that still, to this day, makes me pause every once and a while and just look around and think, “this is so me!” We will be moving within the year and I will absolutely utilize Kim’s services again to help our new house become a home.
